Ice Skating

Mountain Village offers a new outdoor ice skating rink at Capella.  Hanley Rink in Telluride's Town Park is a full size, indoor rink.  For Hanley Rink's operating hours, please go to http://www.telluride-co.gov/ and go under Parks and Rec.

River Trail

Walking or biking along the river is great fun.  Stop for a bit and let your kids play with the rocks, they'll have fun by the river in any season.  You can walk into the canyon or out of town along the Valley Floor.

San Miguel River

In the middle of summer, when the river is lazily floating along, you can float from the east end of town to Society Turn at the end of the Valley Floor.  This activity is only appropriate on a warm mid summer day.  All children should wear life jackets and be able to swim.  All children's innertubes should be tied to an adult's tube.  Float at your own risk and do not attempt

Town Park

Town Park is located at the east end of town and has a summer swimming pool, kids' fishing pond, walking trails, tennis courts, horseshoes, skateboard park, sand volleyball courts, ice skating rink.  Imagination Station is a great jungle gym area within the park for kids of all ages.

Telluride has great wildflowers from the spring through fall.  Grab a local wildflower book at Between the Covers on Main Street and go exploring.

Bridal Veil Falls

Bridal Veil Falls are at the eastern dead end of town.  There is a house sitting half way up the mountain wall that is an active power plant using the energy of the Falls to supplement town's power.  You can walk or drive out to the bottom of the Falls and feel their spray as well as see the house.  If you're feeling adventurous, keep hiking or four wheel driving up to the house.&nb
