How many lifts do you have?

I’m staying in Telluride. How do I get to the ski area?

Telluride has ski lifts in both Mountain Village and Telluride. If you are staying in Telluride, you can access lift 7 on the west end of town at the end of Mahoney Street. Lift 8 is also in town, it is at the end of Oak Street next to the Gondola Plaza area. The Gondola is skier/boarder friendly and will take you to either the Mountain Village Core or to ski runs accessible from the top of the Gondola at elevation 10,551 feet.

Summer

What is Telluride like in the summer?

What is there to do in Telluride during the summer?

The town has many summer activities including horseback riding, rafting, hiking, mountain biking, sight seeing, rock climbing, fishing, jeeping, golf, as well as special events, festivals, and activities throughout the summer months. The town also has a community pool, volleyball court, skate park, and tennis courts located in Town Park.

Why is Labor Day so expensive?

There are three summer festivals in Telluride that are significantly larger than all the others: Bluegrass Festival around summer solstice, Film Festival Labor Day weekend, and the Blues and Brews festival in late September. If you are planning a summer trip to Telluride just for fun and run into high rates, 4 night minimums, and limited availability, chances are you’ve hit one of the festival weekends.
