Telluride Adaptive Sports Program

Telluride Adaptive Sports Program's Mission is to enrich the lives of people with disabilities by providing educational and recreational opportunities that develop life skills, encourage personal growth, and promote independence. TASP, its staff, instructors, and volunteers are dedicated to teaching outdoor recreation skills to people of all ages and all disabilities.  Our clients include people with physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities.

Physical disabilities include visual impairment (VI) , amputation, spinal injury, hearing impairment, or other conditions related to congenital physical issues or accidental injury.

Cognitive disabilities can be congenital or the result of injury.  Cognitive impairment may include development delays, autism, traumatic brain injury, down syndrome, or many other conditions which impact a persons ability to learn and interact with their environment.

Summer Activities

TASP offers a variety of summer activities including adaptive cycling, kayaking, rafting, hiking, rock climbing, day outings, and 4WD tours. TASP is a leader in providing results-oriented adaptive recreational activities.  At TASP, people with disabilities take on the challenges of demanding outdoor activities and achieve amazing success.  These challenging activities catalyze our students' ability to become more active, productive members of their communities.
